I have a 125 force motor Model # 1251X9C, Serial #1349,

I need to replace with new prop. preferable a 17 pitch. But I have no idea what I should have on there. The motor is on a 19' Bayliner trophy series, fish and ski.

There are no identifying mark or numbers on the prop itself. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Propeller id for my force

Frequently the numbers are stamped into the center of the prop and covered by the nut and washer. Less frequently they are on the back surface if it is a Mercury prop with a flat thrust washer.

However, I know of very few Force 125s that are capable of swinging anything more than a 17 pitch on a 19 foot hull within the 4500-5500 full throttle rpm range.

If you can borrow one or try before you buy, then start with 17 pitch and decide from tachometer readings whether or not to drop down to a 15 pitch, or, if indeed, that combo will tolerate a 19 pitch prop.

The avatar is a 140 on a 21 foot cuddy. It turns a stainless cupped 19 pitch at 5000 RPM. It, however, will beat a 125 hollow. Not a good comparison, but will give you an idea.
