i have a 83 ranger i bought with a 83 mercury 150 outboard. the trim unit has one big cylinder under moter. the hyd. unit is in the back compartment with the batteries. the hyd. unit has a plug with a dip stick on it above the tank. with a wing nut looking stud above and to the side with 3 o-rings on it. the moter would trim up slowly when i got it but would not trim up when moving on the water. i took plug out to see if it might need more oil now it will not raise at all.
can anybody tell me the correct way to fill and bleed this type trim unit. and if you know anything else i might should check.
