1999 Yamaha 90HP 2-stroke lower unit

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but in order to drop the lower unit on my
1999 Yamaha 90HP, do I need to drain the lower unit lube first? :confused:

nope, dissconect the speedo tube, remove the trim tab remove the bolt from the underside of the tab,remove the four bolts on the sides and drop it.

Thanks,

Just replaced the LO lube a few weeks ago and didn't want to
waste all that fluid.
