Johnson 30 - How to remove carb??

I want to take the carb off this 2000 model year Johnson 30 hp two stroke for cleaning.

The left carb mounting bolt has good access, but access to the right bolt is blocked by part of the carb, and the starter blocks access from the side. So I then looked at the starter mounts; Johnson engineers appear to have made starter removal difficult as well.

Can someone tell me how to remove the right hand bolt for the carb? If I need to remove the starter, what is the correct sequence or procedure for doing that?

Thanks very much for your help.

remove starter. disconnect battery, remove the little bolts that holds the throttle linkage, you can carefully remove the 3 bolts that hold the starter mount, and swing it out of the way.
