Hi Everyone! I am new to boating. My wife and I used to boat a lot when we were younger, but that was 30-40 years ago and we didn't know how much fun we (or our kids) would have now. So I bought my buddy's 1971 Stuery 4 seater w/50HP johnson (both in surprisingly good condition). I figured if the family didn't enjoy boating, I could sell it easily (I only paid $600 for it)
Well, we are ALL hooked! So we need a bigger boat.
I am looking at this, since I recall Larson being a very good brand in the late 80's and 90's:
1987
19' Larson 190 Citation
Mercuiser 180 horse
open bow
single axle trailer
includes snap on cover & Bimini top.
$6500
Boats looks to be in mint condition, but looks aren't everything!
So, my questions are:
a) is this a good price?
b) what are the usual probs for a 1987 Citation?
c) is this adquate HP to have about 1000lbs load (people and the ever important liquid refreshments)?
d) would this cut through 1'-2' waves without having your spin get adjusted from the choppy ride?
