having difficulty getting my 4.3L to run correctly have had a series of problems seems like when I fix one thing something else begins to happen. Started out the year first time in water stalling out and not starting. Traced it back to electrical problem replaced coil, ignition module, wires, cap, and sensor (plugs last fall). Was pretty sure it was just the ignititon module but decided to replace them all. Once done it started and ran good briefly (one weekend). Then would idle and run but after about 10 minutes it would lose rpm's while running wide open, if put back into neutral it would WOT fine but again lose rpm's soon after, by end of day was barely running had to limp back to dock. Was turning over hard so had battery and altenator tested both checked out fine, replaced starter turns over much better. But still not running good, rebuilt (gaskets and clean full kit not availible) carb started running better as far as losing rpm's at wot, but after 30 mins or so when starting out would lose power and bog down, if shifted into neutral would rev up no problem. Would have to wait a few minutes, then it would take off fine. Decide to get full kit with accelerator pump did that works much better but currently after heating up and running when taking off it bogs down and doesn't lose rpm's but will only go up to about 3000 rpms??
