10 HP Merc not gettting gas to cylinders

I drained the carb of some water, put new plugs in, confirmed I got spark but plugs are dry. If I pour a little gas in cylinder it will attempt to start. Bulb now goes hard as well.

Any ideas what to check next?

if carbs have water more than likely tank may have water also. check and see, let us know. a little fuel in cylinder not a bad idea but to much and you lose compression

did you actually take the carb off and clean it thoroughly? and re-adjust your low speed jet?

Yes, I since did clean the carb, and now it won't start without choke pulled and fast idle pulled. Once running I can push in choke, and slow down idle, but still running a little fast. Should the air screw be turned 1 1/4 turns back from all way in? Any other asdjustments I missed?

where by the way is the low speed jet? I only see one slot screw on right directed toward center of carb?

Saying you have a 10 hp merc is like saying "I have a car". What model and year do you have.
