I have an evinrude 70 with a flywheel thats hard to turn, took out starter and saw the armature was burned apart in two places, I tried to rope start it but too stiff to get it to spin properly, took out the plugs and it spins freely. I'll gladly buy a new starter motor if it will start it, but don't want to waste money on a starter if it will just burn out, cheers any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.
