I hope some of you good people can help me. I can't help but think that, somewhere, this part exists for sale. I have a 1976 19.XX foot outboard aluminum Starcraft Mariner. (At least I think that is the model name. It is a sort of a whaler design-all open with a steering console a bit aft of middle. )
I have lost the cast aluminum bracket (cover) on the top left side of the transom. It may be called a transom bracket. Can anyone tell me where I might find a salvage business that might have a wreck with that part or someone that deals in old aluminum boat parts. I am in the process of modifying a plate from a Starcraft Holiday I/O, but I would still like to find the exact part if I can.

Dude this is like your third post for this part go back and find your others and then check your private messages Bret lready sent you a private message letting you know he had the part . I am not trying to be an Azz but I know I have answered this exact thread 3 times and I know in your last one Bret said he sent you a private message . I would say it looks like you have made this same post 6 times from what it says in your profile pop back in more often and you should be able to find your old posts. There are alot of us here who have Starcrfts who are more than willing to help but ya gotta help us.

Hi rick.
To clear up your confusuion, I have already purched the part from Brett, However, it is not exactly the right part. I am in the process of modifying it to fit.

Sorry it wasn't the part, what are you having to modify? I would be happy to refund your money if you want to return it.

Thanks for your offer, but no need. The outside and the back of the part I got from you fit by boat. Since your boat is an I/O it doesn't have the outboard transom that I have. Two pieces of 1/4" aluminum plate will have to be added to form the extra dimensions I need. I have this one to modify if I don't find an original part.

By the way, I came across a posting of someone looking for a "corner piece" for a Holiday. But I left it and now I can't find it again. You being more experienced in the forum, might be able to find it.

I'm looking for the starboard corner cap for my 1965 Jupiter I/O. Any chance you might have one that will fit?
