I have a 1988 mariner 115 4 cylinder and removed the lower unit to reseal it and I bought a sierra water pump kit and it came with 2 o rings and there was none when I disassembled it and the book does not show any . Where do they go ? Also the sealing ring above the water pump housing was also missing . Does it need these parts ?

The Sierra kit has multiple parts so the kit may be used on a number of similar models.

Pick out the requireds for your application, toss the excess.
