Hi,

I have a 1987 Glastron SSV-187. It is 18.5' long, and is powered by a 190 HP MerCruiser with an Alpha 1 outdrive. The skeg was cut off right below the propeller shaft casing by the previous owner (about 1 inch left). I have purchased a new one, along with alumiloy, but have not had a chance to reinstall.

Once planed, the boat tends to lean to the port side, almost regardless of weight distribution. Could this be caused by the absence of the skeg? Could it be the position of the small triange-shaped metal piece above the propeller (don't know the exact name)?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
