Do you know where I can get a copy of the wiring diagram for my 76 breakerless merc 850? The one posted on the board here is for a distributor and seems to be missing some wires that mine has.
Another question too. What is the big block with all the rubber capped terminals on the starbord side of the motor?

Hi Ed,
The big block with the rubber caps is the switchbox. I can't help you with the wiring diagrams yet, I'm at work. I'll look around and see what I can find for you. (I have the same motor.)
