Re: Lower unit Problems

Sure would be helpful to know what brand of unit we're dealing with.

There's a website that will explain it. Lots of useful info on the left side as well. The Cobra drives are a finiky beast. Their adjustment is critical for its longevity.
Contrary to some they are good units - damn near bulletproof actually. It's that adjustment that folks ignore then they will eat a gearset in no time.
Keep us posted on your progress. :D

Re: Lower unit Problems

I need the bearings and seals replaced in my 1994 120 HP Force (lower end) but I'm being told I cannot buy the parts to do it myself and must install a rebuilt lower end. Does anyone know if this is true??

Hey RvrGrly,

You should start a new thread with your problem - post it in the Force section. You'll have a lot more folks apt to see it. ;)
