I have a Merc 150 black max that I have had nothing but problems with. I even spent the money to have the entire engine serviced. That Definitly helped, but it still gives me trouble starting and idleiing (in neutral). Once its in gear, she runs great. I have to manually mix my gas. Is there anything I can do on that end? Any help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS

Re: Mercury 150 Black Max

Sell it and go buy a bicycle.

Seriously, not always, but the VRO (oiler) was probably removed because it was damaged by an overheat, which may have other deleterious effects on yer motor.

Without information on the condition of the engine, like what it is exactly, (150 black max could be anything from an inline 6 to a V6 saltwater, with many options in between.) it's pretty hard to do anything but agree with or dis your whining. Guess which I chose.

hope it helps
John
