Post Any info on this model Bayliner? 2350 Monterey Sunbridge

Its a 1982, 23' Bayliner 2350 Monterey Sunbridge. this Boat has been launched only in fresh water since day 1 and was given to me, by a friend of the family who is also a marine mechanic. I'm not new to boating but this is My first boat. it's as solid as a rock; no rot, soft spots or leaks. it runs great. The only bad thus far is the neighborhood stooges where it was stored broke about 6 windows on it and it needs a good cleaning . I haven't seen a lot about the monterey sunbridge and was wondering if anyone can clue me in. Is this one of the bayliners that were poorly made? what do I have to look out for/forward to? I know about the bad rep of the earlier models of Bayliner but I can't find much on this model. It seems a great boat for me and the family especially for the price. My title only says Bayliner B2. I only today learned that it was a monterey sunbridge from reading posts here at iboats forums and obtaining the phone# to Bayliner. Big ups to who ever posted that info, my owners manual and spec sheet are in the mail.

Welcome to the zoo !!!

Reference to your boat - you do have one good thing going for you in the fact that the PO was a mechanic. Hopefully he stayed on top of things.
Without boring you too much you have a year model that is right on the verge of all of the shakeup at Bayliner. Management messes, etc.
It is still considered an entry level boat by most standards and is not constructed the way a Grady White or Pursuit would be. Non the less an very adequate vessel. Again it all falls back to prior care and maintenance.
The Monterey line is a early version to the Cierra's and some of the Trophy's.
Now some of the Cierra models will have some parts that will be interchangeable from year to year ( your windows for example ) but I'm not so sure you'll find that repeated with your model. I just don't believe they made enough of them.
Just put this Bayliner 2350 Monterey Sunbridge into a Google search - there's more info out there.
Hopefully it will help you along the line.
Good luck with your project and keep us informed on your progress and findings.

gcboat, Thanks for the welcome.
It seemed to be well maintained through the years. I am going to do the standard tune-up and fluids change before I do anything else as its been sitting in storage for a year.

Thanks for the link Rocky Road, every little bit of info I can obtain helps. as I'm replying to this message I have a bunch of iboat and boc tabs open.
so much to learn.

I trailered her and brought her home today.. whoo hoo.. looks a lot bigger sitting in the drive way next to house. now its time to get to work. I will post pics as I progress.
