take a gps with you and find out what speed it planes out at. check the trim, is it all the way down? smarttabs for sure would help, unless there is other issues, like waterlogged foam under the deck or something. i have almost the same setup as you, and mine runs great, gets on plane just fine. I would guess about 3/4 throttle to get on plane with people in the boat, then i can back it off and cruise. It doesnt want to plane too slow though, thats where the trim tabs would help.
