Yamaha 2007 115 hp Yamaha trim meter gauge stuck

Hi,

I have a 2007 115hp Yamaha along with the Yamaha trim meter installed on the console.

Last week the trim meter stopped displaying the correct trim of the motor.. meaning even though the motor goes up and down with no problem - the gauge continues to display that the motos is still up with the top bar flashing on and off.

If anyone have any advice on things to check/replace - that would be great!

hello,

I have a F80AET with exactly the same problem. Top bar flashing regardless trim of the engine.

What was the solution finally?

It could be the trim indicator ring on the motor is loose.

When I bought a boat with a 2003 F115 (30 hrs) the trim gauge would not work. The ring had split and was stuck.

Can get a replacement ring at any dealer

they call that part in the pic a cam.
the plastic ones broke the replacements are stainless.
