Hello All,
I have been lurking this week, and have now joined. This site looks to be very informative.
And I have my first question. I purchased and 89 Grady White Gulfstream Thursday. My outdrive will not go up or down. I was told by the previous owner that it needed a solenoid. So I went and picked one up, pulled everything apart and found the lower one to be completely rusted out. I assumed that would be the problem. I sanded all the connections, replaced the old one and reinstalled everything. I still have the same clicking noise, up and down. I ran a direct line to my motor,or pump, and it turned on so I assume its ok. My resevoir is low, what do i put in it? Could that be the problem? I read about jumping with a screwdriver put i cant seem to get that to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance
