Ok i just brought this boat home and do not have pictures yet, and i can not find any online (have been looking everywhere)

here is what i DO know about it

It measures somewhere in the neighborhood of 17' 3"

It is a V Hull (not Tri)

Closed Bow

Outboard

The HIN is LCB1139v1272

so it is a Lyn Craft made in Dec of 1972

The HIN on the tag matches the one on the transom

The tag also shows the model as 1900
(the only 1900's i see are contessa and oceanic both are 19' boats)

Max HP is 125

Max Cap is 1700

any help would be greatly appreciated, Pics cool if anyone has any

Thanx in advance

PS any history or background on this boat would be Awsome!!

Re: Model Help - Lyn Craft / SeaBreeze

I own a 1962 17' Lyn-Craft Seabreeze "rambler". It has ALWAYS been garage-kept and is truly in excellent shape as I think you'll be able to tell from the pics and vid. The trailer is the original 1962 Murray tilt and the motor is the original 1962 Kiekhaefer (sic?) Merc450. This is a real classic. A matched boat-motor-trailer-all 1962! The boat was made in Sarasota and the trailer in Tampa. One-owner (I am 2nd). Not registered since 1988.

The boat is solid-I cannot find any soft spots or rot. It has a few minor cosmetics as one would expect but nothing major-very minor oxidation which should look like new after compound, polish, wax. Rub-rail is in excellent shape, windshield is clear as you can see. Transom is perfect, vinyl upholstery is flawless. I really cannot find anything wrong with the boat-can you?

According to a guy I've met on another site named Mike Carrigan:

"The hull became the first 17' PRO-LINE in 1968.
It was then called an 18 by SEABREEZE.
I provided the hull to Dan Atwood, Dan "popped" the hull, made some changes to it and it became the first 17 PRO-LINE CC.
It's amazing it's made it this long, really amazing.

The tri-hulls were the "1550" and the "1850" and the "2050", also the "1550 SEA JEEP" and the "1850 SEA JEEP"
The V hulls were the "1500", "1600", "1800', "1900" "2100" and the LUCAYAN.
For example, the "1900 OCEANIC" was the open. The "1900 CONTESSA" was the cabin.
There was also an "1800" cabin, but I forget what it was called."
