1984 500/50, unknown hours, serial# 4963797. I have had this for 5 yrs and has always run great up to 4 weeks ago. It started to bog at full throttle, then hard starting, now wont start unless throttle is half or more open. I rebuilt both carbs about 2 1/2 yrs ago because of bad gas from station going out of buisness.....nice. Have tested switch box, stator and trigger plate wiring w/DVM, all checked good. I have new plugs in and all are getting good spark. Have a new port. tank of fuel mix on rear deck with new fittings and hoses. I just cant figure out why it wont start or run. I dont really want to change out the reeds because of not having a dry place to work or store while engine is torn down, but if someone thinks this could be the problem, I might be able to find somewhere to work. thanks in advance for the time.
