2.5 hp portables recommendations

I want to put a 2.5 hp gas motor on a Sea Eagle Paddleski. From what I've read the Nissan, Yamaha, Honda, etc. are all comparable. What I'd like to know is which is the quietest motor. I don't want to go electric BTW. I assume they all have about the same range on a tank of gas. Reliability is a factor, of course.
Any recommendations?

None of them are quiet or smooth, you need to get into the two cylinder models before they get pleasant to run.

Thanks. I had watched a bunch of videos and noticed the 9.9 hp motors sounded smoother and quieter. And those were 2 cylinder models.

I've got a 2004 Nissan 2 1/2hp I use on a 12 foot Meyers aluminum canoe. It's a little noisy but not to bad. It probably weighs 22 pounds, any heavier and I don't think it would be a good match for my boat anyway. As far as smoothness, if the carb is adjusted right, a little motor like that can be pretty peppy and almost purr (kinda like a lion would purr, not a house cat).
