1987 mercury quicksilver controls pin-out?

I have a 1987 mercury 45hp with quicksilver controls on my boat. I want to install a johnson 90hp from 1980-something with OMC controls and would like to retain my quicksilver controls in my boat. There is the big plug on each under the motor hood and I was wondering if anyone has a pin out for the mercury plug and/or a pin out for the OMC plug.

Looking in the respective OEM Service Manuals would answer that question, however, I do not think the mechanical controls are compatable. You might look up some aftermarket controls by Teleflex or someone. See if you can find a single model that is recommended for both motors. if so, you have a chance.

Why do you not want to use the OMC Control? I hope the OMC motor is mechanical shift, or I know it won't work.
