Had a 01 250 ficht that seemed to idle smooth run great but blew a rod and sawed thru the powerhead. Think I may have been under propped and was over spinning the motor but was told it has a rev limiter and cannot. I seen the tach run up to 6400 and pretty sure the motor should only operate up to around 5900 to 6100.
I know have a 2010 etec 250 that will only go to 6000 thankfully where is a good place for that motor to be running any suggestions.
