Default Buying a new boat

I haven't owned a boat in over 20 years but my wife and I are looking. We have looked at new 2008 Sea Ray Sun Deck and new 2008 Crownline EX in the 22-24 ft range.

Anyone have any thoughts that could help us?

I am a fan of the Ray sun decks as there is a few of them on the lake. Too bad they only seem to come in black. You can get a good price with the market the way it is now. Let us know which one you get.

follow theese simple steps.
1) research and test drive both boats.
2)negotiate best price on both boats.
3)go home and sleep.
4)go buy whichever boat you dreamed about all night.

The Crownline uses pressure treated wood in the construction of the boat and SeaRay is all fiberglass and is a lighter boat. I compared both at 24'.They both have great warranty's but the Ray is transferable and I could not find that in the Crownline warranty description. Both great boats, you have a tough decision but one I wish I had the burden of making.

Thanks for the information. We're still looking and researching. We slept on it one night and the dealer sold the Sea Ray we were interested in. It was either a case of "fate" or a case of "you snooze...you lose". Either way, we are still looking.

Any more comparisons between Sea Ray and Crownline would be appreciated.
