Used to be able to sharpen them pretty good on a bench grinder, but eyes and age are making it much tougher.

Looking for a bit sharpening setup, that will do a good consistant job, but not kill the tool budget (like there really is one).

Home Depot sells the Drill Doctor. I have 60 bits in my index and sharpened all of them in less then an hour. Cost is around $50

Seconding the Drill Dr. I got one about a year ago and it's great.

If you're a "home hobbyist", the drill doctor is fine. I'm a machinist and need a perfectly sized hole.

The drill doctor makes the drills cut about .005 ( five thousandths) oversize.

Not a problem for most things but wanted to bring it to your attention.

It does do a very nice job of split pointing the drills.

Drill doctor here as well, decent results for the money although seldom as good as a skilled craftsman with a good eye and a grinder.
