I have a 75 mercury 1150 (115hp) I have been having the motor just shuting down like you are turning the key off, and when you try restart it will not fire until you release the starter switch over to run, this was just happening every other time I had it out, now it is happening more regular, Any ideas??????

First check the engine plug in the male connectors will get squeezed together. Next hook a voltmeter to the white switch box terminal on the starbord side to see if there is 12 volts in the run and stat posistion the switch may be going bad.
