In essence the problem is no spark.
The engine was fine the end of last season and has over the yeas been pretty bulletproof.
From the generator there are two leads to the coils, plus three wires, one to earth, one has been disconnected for years and the other went to the kill switch.
The kill switch is broken circuit when "on".
I put a volt meter from the HT lead and to earth and pulled the cord and I get nothing registering.
I tried the same thing using the leads that go to the coils with the same result.
What do you think I should try next?
The label says BJ30BALENR so according to the list its a 1992 but some at the Club have said its more like mid 80's
