I am hoping someone can help me identify the problem I am having with this motor. I have a 1987 - 90hp Mariner outboard. The engine starts and runs excellent hooked up to a hose at both low and high RPM's. The issue is when it's in the water. It starts and idles perfect. When the boat accelerates it coughs and spits and "bogs" down as you try to accelerate. This is only happening when it's under a load. I pulled and cleaned the carbs and compression tested the cylinders....everything looks find. Can someone help me out?
