I am working on a 85 wellcraft with the 260hp motor and mercruiser out drive. I am installing a new gimbel bearing bellows and u-joints while I have the outdrive off and the motor out. I have everything ready to put it back together I am going to pull the gimbel bearing tomorrow night. I was fliping through my book and it looks like before I install the new bearing I have to put the motor back in is that true. Also it looks like their maybe is a seal or something on the back side of the gimbel bearing on the motor side. If their is anybody have the part number handy. Also is their any trick to put the u-joint bellow back on. Thanks In advance
