Final stretch here. For the darnest thing, I can get this locking tab to fit over the spindle nut. I looked at it in detail before taking it off. I think part of the problem is that spindle nut is fit snug w/ the washer which is snug to the hub. I tried backing it a little but still can't figure on how to clamp it over the nut. What's the secret?

By backing the nut out a little, it would be less than finger tight. As I have to align the tab to the spindle. I'm at a loss here. I tried starting the nut at different interval, but don't think this would work because of the tread design. I ended up at the same position.

Re: HELP with spindle nut locking tab

Just snug the nut up a bit to get the clip in the proper position. Then mount the wheel and make sure it spins freely.
