Hello,
I have found a few posts referencing how to check for a spun prop, but I still don't quite understand the testing descriptions. Do I need to take the prop off to draw the line? Where do I draw the line? Does anyone have pictures?
I think my prop hub might be spun because in the water it does not seem to get full power. However, out of the water it revs up just fine.
If my prop is spun, what prop would give me the best performance on a 9.9 Evinrude. It has a 9" pitch, 3 blade now. Would a 4 blade prop help me get on a plane faster and achieve a higher speed? Or would it be best to stay with what I have?
Sorry for the 2 question post, and thank you very much in advance for explaining the procedure to me!
Jon
