Was wondering if anybody knew what the torque specs are on the head bolts for an 1989 Evinrude 120 V4 engine. When I picked up the new head gaskets, I asked the salesman if he knew what the torque specs were on the head bolts. He pulled out a book, looked it up, and told me it said 60-84 inch pounds. I am used to working on car engines, as I am an auto mechanic by trade, and I know each head has 14 bolts which seems like a lot to me, but that seemed a little on the light side. Was he correct in his answer? I would like to reinstall the heads tomorrow and get this thing fired up, but an unsure of the head bolt torque spec.
