Default Welded aluminum hull question

I'm considering buying a new aluminum boat. The one I'm looking at has a couple areas in the sides of the hull that have small dimpled areas (about 2"x2") that are not perfectly smooth - feel a little bit bumpy. It appears that these may be areas where the cross beams were welded to the hull. My question is are these normal or should I be concerned about them? This is a new 22'with a welded aluminum hull.

I would say after owning and looking at many welded aluminum boats that this is perfectly normal...not saying I like it, but seems you can't get away from some distortion...just a Thought

Even the high end boats show some distortion where butt welds are made for beams to hull. My new Wooldridge has a distinct line where the floor is welded to the hull. I also have a 12 year old Alumaweld that has small distortion ripples where welds are made as well. Never has affected any performance, just funky to look at.
