Re: HELP Wanted

looks to me as if they have been glassed to the floor wich means grinding them out or cutting just above the level of the floor with sawsall or similar tool to remove them

Re: HELP Wanted

An additional question: The entire engine compartment as well as where the seats sit are painted with a white substance. It does not appear to be glass, but I certainly do not know what it is. There are a few cracks and pieces of the material are flaked off at some places. How do I take care of the cracks and flakes. Do I glass it over?

Here are the images of what I need help. First is the cracking and whether I can re coat this. Next I need some help as how to remove the pedestal . It seems to me it has been built in on the hull. Looking at it, it seems that I may damage the hus trying to remove it.

Are there anyone out there that can give me some suggestions?/:confused:

Its been a week now I have been looking for some help as to how to remove the seat pedestal. To me it seems it is attached to the hull and may not be able to be removed.

Thanks for all help

is that a bayliner? most of them are glassed to the hull. you could cut it out with a grinder or sawzall, then make a new one and re glass it in.

1. Get out the saw, that's the only way you'll get that off.

2. No, you'll need to remove it all and then re-glass it, it looks like the existing coating has totally failed

Dude, your question was answered 30 minutes after your first post & again 1 hour after your post, where do you get a week from?

Also it's attached to the deck (floor) & it looks like it may need replacing too from the the grey weathered look. Does it crunch or flex when you walk on it?

Re: HELP Wanted

Yes the floor has to be replaced. That's why I was asking how to remove the pedestal. Looks like everything is glassed in.
