Just rebuilt carb, slow rpm's at takeoff. What to adjust?

Hello,
I just rebuilt my carb and fuel pump with sierra kits.
Everything worked great but I have a horrible time getting on plane, the rpm's for the first half of throttle accelerate slowly, once on plane it runs great.
I didn't adjust any screws when rebuilding, I just put them back the same amount of turns.

What should I adjust to get faster rpm's from standstill?

Is it the "slow" speed screw adjustment?

Re: Just rebuilt carb, slow rpm's at takeoff. What to adjust?

Tashasdaddy,

Sorry,

I am working on a 1994 J15.
I am having problems learning how to adjust the carbs even as I search endlessly on these forums. I went to the library but they don't have any books for my questions.
My carb doesn't have alot of adjustment screws.
I bought fuel and carb kist here on iboats and feel I did a great job installing and cleaning it is just that now the inflatable (that I use for work) runs with it's nose in the air at full throttle and is difficult to get on plane. Once it planes it is fine and has great power.
Other than that the machine is running perfectly and with out any misses, stalls, sputters or flooding.

I am having problems with rev's coming up fast enough from a standstill. (slow acceleration)

Slow speed screw?

Thanks
