Has any one rebuilt the carbs on the merc 850 1975

I am curios to know how to set the float height since the float doesnt connect to the float needle ??

This is what my '77 850 looks like.

The float pushes up a metal arm (#10) that pushes the needle into the seat.

So metal arm is set to the correct height.
