I have a 1975 2-stroke 115hp evinrude that is running on 2 of 4 cylinders. It will sometime start hitting all 4 when I hit a wake that causes the motor to bounce. The next wake I hit, it will go back to firing on 2 cylinders. I checked power to all plugs and its cylinders 1 and 3 (the right half of the motor) that are not sparking. I then decided to check power out of the power pack and found that cylinders 1 and 3 have half the voltage that 2 and 4 do coming from the power pack. I suspect there is a loose wire somewhere but cant find it. I had heard that it could be some coil under the flywheel but know nothing about that part of the motor. Why would I only have power to half the motor? Any suggestions?
