Hi All,

I've been wakeboarding for a long time, like 13 years or so and one thing that I've aways questioned is the speed I use. Does anyone know how fast the pro's go?

I know what feels confortable to me but I'm curious...

I've also got a great wakeboarding rope but am curious what length the pros use.

Thanks for any feedback.

Re: Optimal Speed - What the PROS do

It varies a lot.

Whenever I've had a really good/competition rider out on my boat. They improvise to find the ideal spot. I.e. extend the line, increase speed etc.

They generally are looking for the perfect spot where the wake is clean and a basic cut (for them) gets the comfortably w 2 w.

Thus, do what works for you.

THis year i have increased speed by a 1/2 mph and gone out another 5'

Re: Optimal Speed - What the PROS do

I think the pros tend to go on the faster side, like 22 to 24 mph. I used to board at the recommended 18 to 20 mph. The last few years I have been riding at the 22 to 24 mph range since thats the speed that my driver drives, since he thinks the pros ride at that speed.
