Hello,my name is Sourine I'm a new member,i have a 50 hp yamaha year 2000,the motor starte fine every time and i can run full stroke with a water hose on it,but when on the lake ,i shift to foreward or backward with the handle 1/2 way down it's ok push the boat slowly,but when i push litle more or the way down the motor quit on me, so any body can help ?

Sounds like a fuel problem to me. In the driveway you can't put a load on the engine to where it requires more fuel.

Check to make sure no filters are plugged or any restrictions in the fuel line anywhere.
