floatation

Hey I was just thinking, and I was wondering if anyone has thought of and or tried using packing peanuts in place of foam? Let me know your thoughts.....

They are really not dense enough ....... but if you can contain them in 1 or 2 liter soda bottles it would work. I recently discovered a source of closed sell polyethalene foam which I am going to use to supplement my present flotation. It is made by a company called Pregis.

I did a test of putting some in water for a few hours and unfortunatly some of them actually started to deteriorate, so this is not a good idea after all...

Yup...they have starch in them that melts in water :eek:
