Hi,
I have recently bought a 1991 Mariner 90hp 2 stroke and have connected the cable to the engine from the battery. Small problem is the starter runs when the trim and tilt switch is operated?
I wanted to ask if how the battery cable were connected to see if i had fitted them correctly and also whats going on with the starter motor?

your battery cable should go to a starter solinode, and then to starter, sounds like you starter and trim soilnode are hook together somehow!
