I am having difficulty (after having rebuilt my powerhead) with getting both forward and reverse gear. No matter how much adjusting I do on the linkage adjustments its only one or the other. I know that an incorrect shift shaft height will have a bias towards one gear or the other.
Would anyone be able to give me the shift shaft height for a 1996 Evinrude Intruder 150HP V6? The model number is E150GLEDB. I have the Clymer Evinrude/Johnson outboard shop manual but it gives conflicting dimensions to another data sheet I received when purchasing the boat. I would like a third opinion - so to speak. Also, did this model only come out with a 20 in. shaft and 25 in. shaft, as these are the only dimensions supplied on both data sheets I have?
Any advice would be appreciated.
