aluminum 1960 Starcraft best way to replace transom
I have a 1960 14.5 ft. aluminum starcraft and the transom is rotted and the corners are pulling away. I want to make the new transom sturdy enough to hold a 75 hp crystler outboard motor is from late 70s.Can anyone give me step by step instructions I would really appreciate it I just want to get on the water, this is my first boat.

Ryan look through some of the completed Starcraft restorations and you will get a feel for the transom replacement . I do have to wonder though if 75HP isnt a bit much for that boat mine is only rated at 80HP max and its 16'. Welcome to iboats and we will need pics of her to let ya in the Starcraft club .
