Is 87 OMC 1.6 L same as Johnson or Evinrude

I have an 87, OMC Sea Drive, Model 16AMPHD. Is the power head and drive train same as Johnson or Evinrude? I want to change the water pump but can't figure out how to detach the shifting rod from the lower unit. Any advise would br greatly appreciated.

sea drive is a johnson/evinrude power head, but the rest is different. there are a couple of people here, that are informed on the seadrive.
