Re: Can I get a printable manual (FREE)1995 Evinrude 40 hp lower unit
At the (calculated) risk of incurring the wrath of the old-timers on this very unique and useful forum, I must say that it IS possible to DL shop manuals for Evinrude (and other) motors these days online. They are not free, but they are a fraction of the price of the "re-prints" that can be ordered from any number of sites, and sent by expensive and fuel-guzzling snail-mail, courier, etc.
There are many times when this is a huge advantage, not the least of being when sitting at the cottage with a problem, and needing to know the fix right away, not in 3-4 days!
...a quick "google" of, for instance "download evinrude manual" will get you started.
As far as copyright is concerned, we can only assume that those selling the DL's have the legal right to do so.
This is, of course, the exact SAME asumption that we have to make for someone offering a hard-copy version that they have printed off...
Innit?
Cheers,
bMf
