Hello all! I recently acquired a '86 Seaswirl Sierra Cuddy that the previous owner forgot to winterize. Needless to say, the engine is toast. My problem is finding out what year engine to put in it. The cast number on the block (or so Ive been told) is 14071177, which comes back as a '85 GM block (the motor was a OMC 4.3), the numbers on the upper gear case are 984210, and serial 403887. Should I go with the '85, or is it a '86? There service manuals all break at this year. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
