Market is so bad right now and we just had a baby 3 months ago and have been talking about needing a bigger boat. We have had our Chris Craft Concept 18 since we moved here 1 1/2 years ago. I just bought a Chris Craft 230 Sport Deck MINT with only 47 hours on it in literally showroom shape for so cheap i don't even want to say. I am still all on edge not believing the deal i got.

Anyway I know people always want pis, i only have a couple crappy cell phone ones of each but here is the new one

you will love the 230, we have had one for 4 years now, super great boat. we take it to the Keys each year and dive and fish from it. also great water sports boat.

Stupid question but is it normal for the boat to not turn sharp well. I am used to my Concept 18 and this boat is nowhere near as nimble. I assume that is just a product of the size difference but it was the only thing that made me a little nervous during the test drive, it seemed to want to cavitate during sharp turns even with the trim all the way in.

I am sure / hoping it is nothing just wondering if that is a normal experience

Good job! It's funny how twofootitus just seems to creep up on us, as we just bought our newer boat a little over a week ago. And mainly for the same reason. The owner just didn't want it any more and took our really low offer to move it. ChrisCraft makes a good rig, hopefully it will sell soon...

I paid $11,700

I think i just sold my old Chris Craft. Caller is coming tonight to my slip with $6,000 cash, he said if it drivs like i said it does he will give me cash on the spot and take it away. We will see

I think I easily got $5700 more of boat (at least i hope i did)

you got a very good deal, the way the hull is design, it does take a wider turn. it is a wide hull where the concept was a sharper V, and also 5 ft shorter, and a lot less weight.
what year is it. 5.7 VP drive?

this is ours riding out Hurricane Gustav last year in the Keys.

Nice, yes that is the same boat just yours in blue and mine is green. mine is a 1999 with 47 hours

It is a 5.7 VP engine / drive package

Just went to the bank with him and transferred money and title, pick it up later tonight after hopefully the guy coming to my house with cash take my Concept 18 away and out of my slip

I have to buy a lift now though which i hate doing for a slip i just lease (in case my lease is not renewed. But i am not risking blisters again
