I have a 50HP 2 stroke engine, 3 cylinders and use low grade gas which contains ethanol. Last July 2008 I started losing power and have lost power each time I've taken the boat out. Throughout the summer of 2008 the engine would run fine for 5-10 minutes then power loss. This past memorial weekend 2009 I took the boat to a mechanic and he said I needed the VRO pump replaced. I had it replaced and launched the boat May 23 and drove it full speed home and it ran perfectly. The next time out was June 6 and back to losing power after 5-10 minutes. Yesterday, June 13, I replaced the fuel fitler, gas line, sprayed the 3 carburators with cleaner, used a portable gas tank with fresh low grade gas which contains ethanol, and the same problem, power loss after 5-10 minutes of driving. So what should I try next? Need help! Thanks. Art
