My money would be on needing a new coil but, pull the flywheel and have a look at your points first. If you have the time, switch the coils and if the no spark follows the coil then that's your problem. You can also start it up in the dark and if spark is going to ground somewhere it will be easier to spot than in the daylight. I looked up to see if you have electronic ignition and I don't see a listing for an 80, 5.5 Best of luck. Rick.
