This motor has a couple of issues, I want to start with the obvious. The boat is owned by my brother-in-law, he just purchased it. The only history I have on the boat is the motor has been rebuilt (do not know why) and the VRO (oil side of pump) has been replaced on the fuel pump. The obvious thing I see is that when the prime bulb is pumped, fuel comes out from between the VRO and the pump case it is mounted on. I took it apart an there is no seal in between the two pieces, is there supposed to be one? Or is there an internal problem with the pump itself. Help please.
